Hanging paper lanterns come in different shapes and sizes and are usually required assembly. If you want to avoid the assembly process, you can buy pre-assembled lanterns in the shops. In general, however, paper lanterns are in need of some assembly. They are easy to setup and use, which can often be completed within for twenty minutes, depending on the complexity of the situation.
Most paper lanterns are shaped ball, and come with a metal expansion. A cable is needed and is often sold separately. Before buying a cable, it is useful to measure the distance from the electrical outlet where you want to hang the lantern. The height along the wall and ceiling, and then add two feet of room for error. Common wire sizes are ten to fifteen feet. If one more cable longer needed you may need to use an extension cable.
Configuration of the expansion is easy, but one should be careful while doing on it. It's easy to rip the paper with the expansion, if you rip the paper, the lamp is in ruins. Paper lanterns are usually made with some type of cable that runs in a spiral through the paper, and are collapsible, allowing them to be packaged and shipped flat. Because they are collapsible, metal expanders are required for property fully open. To do this, insert the expander on the top (usually the size of the holes of the lantern are different, the larger the hole from above) and hook into the slots on the bottom edges of the hole at the bottom of the paper. Then, pull the paper to the top of the expansion, which should have slots to keep the paper, the slots should be placed exactly where the location should be and should be obvious.
Then you need to run the cable. Plug the cable into the wall, running up the wall, and use hooks to hold the cable in the ceiling. Tape can also be used, but use a proper type of tape as tape adhesive, and is used in large quantities. Because the tape can lose rigidity, use hooks. Run the cable along the ceiling and place the lamp at the end of it. Make sure that is how I want.
Then, unplug the cord and screw in the bulb. By screwing in the bulb, make sure that the bulb is at the center of the lamp as possible, you should not touch the sides as this can start a fire. Are recommended over incandescent lamps CFC because they produce very little heat. Be sure not to exceed the maximum wattage recommended for the power cable to reduce the risk of fire. Once the bulb is screwed on the flip on the switch and light should be working. If not, check the connection and make sure the bulb is well screwed in.
Now is ready to enjoy your paper lantern.
